In January, we inaugurated our Casagua weekly workshops with a colourful, creative and art-filled morning in the garden. We welcomed 45 children, mothers and fathers to sign up for the Casagua workshops and get a taster of what it’s all about!
We played marimba, drums and maracas, painted drawings and decorated recycled pots for seed planting. We had a quiet reading corner where children could explore our growing library of nature-related books and an area for the youngest ones to build with blocks and do puzzles.
We then got started straight away with our first workshops, which we are delighted to now be offering to 21 Maya Ixil children between the ages of 6 and 13-years-old.
