Organic Garden
Planting and harvesting in harmony with the cycles of nature strengthens our knowledge, protects food sovereignty and cares for the earth. Plus, it’s living science for children!

A garden is a place of experimentation, learning and ancestral wisdom. Through touching and feeling the earth, children develop their knowledge of biology and care for life, from micro-organisms to entire ecosystems. They can also enjoy and follow the agricultural practices that have sustained life for centuries, such as the use of organic composts, planting with the moon and native seed banks.
We are inspired by place-based education pedagogies; these emphasize the development of social and ecological wellbeing through learning rooted in the places where we belong.

Understanding and loving our surroundings is the first step towards wanting to care for and protect them. The garden is the perfect example of a small, localized solution to complex global environmental problems.

We offer a holistic curriculum with diverse themes that include aspects of ancient Mayan agriculture and natural science.
We firmly believe that learning by doing creates more impactful, memorable and enjoyable educational experiences for children, in addition to fostering empathy and positive action for nature and Mother Earth.
